I just tried this truck for lunch today and got the birria taco dinner which came with three birria tacos, consume, limes, rice and beans and salsa on the side for $18. I will say that this is pricier than the average around. The tacos themselves were flavorful and the tortillas had a good crunch to them. The consume was also good albeit a bit salty, the rice was a bit bland and just a tad overdone and the beans were liquidy. I liked the salsa but it could use more flavor. Overall, I’d come back and try their tacos but I would skip the dinner combo. Fast and friendly service though.

Oh my gosh, it was FRESH and probably the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. I even burned my tongue because I couldn't wait to try it! I got three tacos (steak, beef, chicken) and some churros. Those tacos were gone so fast, and I usually can't eat much in one sitting. I expected to have some leftover, and that was not the case at all. The men working the food truck on Water Street were really nice and professional. I'm not in the area often, but next time I am and I see the food truck open, I'll put my order in. I scanned the QR code on the truck and placed my order for pick up. I had to finish some work first, so it worked out perfectly. Many food trucks only take cash, but you can use card or Apple Pay when you place your online order. You can even have it DoorDashed to you if you're within the radius for that. Can't wait to try some elote next time!

I ordered a pick up order through uber eats at 1:20ish am. They didnt close until 2am the night I ordered. They accepted the order on the app. I arrived there after getting the notification it was complete. I told them I had an order for ashley, they went on to say that they received that order but did not make it because they stopped taking orders earlier than usual this night. Usually they close the kitchen 20-30 minutes prior to close. This night they closed orders 45-50 minutes before closing I guess because I placed my order at 1:20 giving them 40 minutes to prepare it after they accepted it on the app. I asked why they accepted the order and marked it as complete and had me drive there and wait if they were not accepting orders. His response was we closed early and I will have to contact uber eats to get my refund. I immediately tried to get help through uber eats customer service after being told this. Uber eats went on to say that they marked the order as complete and with it being a pick up order, they cannot issue me a refund even after I explained that the food was never even made and they said they cannot refund my order because I do not meet the criteria for my money back? I’ve reached out to senior gorditos and uber eats customer service numerous times since my unmade order on the 29th and have yet to get any type refund or solution. Highly upset because I order from here often because the food is pretty good usually and it’s one of few places still open after I get off my night shifts. I’m hoping the owner reviews this and can help come to a solution after all the inconvenience caused by them accepting the order and marking it as completed, knowing they did not make it and turned me away. This is my last attempt to resolve the problem before I just dispute the charge with my bank.

The tacos were fresh, and the salsa had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The service was also excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive. Whether you’re craving a burrito, enchiladas, or a simple plate of nachos, Senior Gordito’s has something for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Mexican food in a cozy atmosphere!
