I went for the first time yesterday. Ordered Mac bowl with sausage and a side of cheesy hash. I was not a fan of the Mac, the noodles were too mushy for me personally. But it still had flavor and was generous! The sausage with the cheesy hash was 🤤 Soo good. The BBQ sauce was was good as well

If you have not tried out Skinny Kenny's yet, please do! Everything about this place was great! The service was friendly and very helpful. Skinny Kenny himself even stopped by our table to ask how everything was while we were dining in, he was also very friendly. We went on a Saturday and ordered the full rack of rib special with coleslaw. We also ordered the "Really Treat Yo Self" with the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Pulled Chicken, with Mac and Cheese and Southern Greens for the sides. I also had a scoop of Lemon Cheesecake ice cream which was so so good. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and smothered with the perfect amount of amazing bbq sauce. I even ended up ordering another full rack to take home! The brisket was also a highlight of the meal. So smokey, tender, and full of flavor. Sides were good as well, but our favorite by far was the Southern Greens. They also have a food truck, which is where we initially tried them out, so be on the look out for that!

My wife and I were hesitant to try this place at first...because no BBQ should ever have Skinny in the name. But when we pulled up, on what would normally be the patio with seating were two legit giant smokers with giant stacks of wood. I was pretty convinced we were at the right place. It was empty at noonish on a Wednesday which is surprising. Given the amount of food for the cost I can't believe this place wasn't hopping for lunch. I ordered the Smothered Tots and my wife ordered what I think were called the Southwest Tots. First off best cooked tots we have both had in years each tot perfectly crispy and delicious. My tots had chopped brisket and my wife had pulled pork. I tried both meats separate from the sauces and tots and both were well seasoned and cooked, I felt like they would stand on their own just fine. However, you put it together with all the ingredients the meat and tots and it was exponentially more awesome. Both dishes were delicious... I took pictures of both because I felt like they deserve to be in the review and I don't usually do that... bear in mind that we had both consumed a bunch before the picture was taken. The potions were huge and we easily could have shared one. We took half or more home of each one and were warned by staff that it wasn't going to be as good reheated, but I am confident I will still enjoy it...again. Skinny Kenny was in store and asked about our experience and the good news is he isn't too skinny. Staff was nice and food is ordered and paid for at the counter, comfortable seats. Didn't try their ice cream...maybe the next time we go...

Local find! We shared the Tots, tacos and Pulled pork sandwich. Each dish was a meal in itself. The tacos easily could feed 2 people and the pulled pork was delicious. The tots were the stand out. Covered in the baked beans, pork, and smoked queso, the massive portion could be a meal despite being labeled an appetizer. I suggest dipping or drizzling the spicy bbq sauce - made the dish extra tasty. We live about an hour away and will be back without a doubt. Oh. They have ice cream too! Chocolate with PB covered pretzles was amazing.

Finally a good BBQ place in Michigan! The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is nice, and the owner is an absolute gem. Very much worth the drive and price. We got 2 cheese steaks and a side of spicy mac, it came out delicious and hot! Worth a try every time.
