Went twice during a short trip and fish was always made to order! Delicious food, big portions, and great service! Will definitely come back in the future! :)

Great whitefish! My sister and I are on a roadtrip to visit Michigan from Georgia. Spent 2 days in the UP. Found Big Al’s on our last day and it was a win. So good.

Have had a lot of Friday night fried fish living my whole life in Wisconsin. On the way back home from Mackinaw City, I really wanted some whitefish so we gave this place a try. Couldnt have been more surprised. Fresh fried fish with great fries and onion rings. So much better than boring cod fish fry that im used to. Large portions and incredible pricing under $30 for two people. This isnt possible anymore at Bars and Diners these days. Well done!

Best fish north and south of the bridge. Cooked right and served right. You can't get a better deal for fish this good in the state. The ambiance of the atmosphere can't be topped. The fish is fresh and fried right. The fries and slaw are superior to any restaurants. You're really not going to get anything that tastes this good for this good of a price anywhere else. If you've heard of big Al's and are considering to stop there, you absolutely won't regret it.
