Whether you're eating at the tables outside or ordering pick up to eat at home, this place has never disappointed! I usually get the chicken and steak and sub the rice for lo mein, it is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Tokyo Hibachi in Gardner!

I've been wanting unagi maki for last couple months. I was on my way back from Planet Comicon and looked to see if there was any chance Gardner could fulfill my craving and found this food truck. There it was! Eel avocado roll. And it was DELICIOUS. Japanese steakhouse hibachi food has been my comfort food since I was a little kid (my stepfather was Japanese, and he took us every couple months to his friend's restaurant). I've been to a lot of them in the area. I was not expecting much from a truck, and that was my mistake. The rice was not as fried as so much American restaurant fried rice is. It was seasoned with more than just a ton of soy and butter, too. It was perfect. I could have done with more veggies (I should have ordered a side, but i hadn't tried theirs yet), but you know what? The chicken portion was so generous that I'm not complaining at all. This stuff is always at least 2 meals for me, and this was no different. The portion and quality is fantastic for the price. It's not a fancy restaurant, but it's easily on par with any good hibachi place. If it matters to you, the pickled ginger is strangely coral and has no bite. It tastes great, but my older kids were put off by the color, lol, and my youngest was in love with how mild it was. Sorry, no food pics, as I hadn't eaten in 9 hours, lol, but it just looked like most hibachi meals, and the sushi was a good size in a takeout box, so you shouldn't be expecting art in there, lol.

This is an amazing food truck in Gardner of all places. They are open Tues - Sunday and have amazing food. I was working near by on a contract when I happened upon it at lunch time one day. Always fresh and so flavorful no matter what you get. I love the fried sushi rolls. We take the drive out there occasionally on the weekend to eat and do some shopping, even though we live in Olathe. Definately worth the drive!!

If you love fat and gristle, then the hibachi steak sukiyaki is the dish for you! They even threw in some tendons, free of charge! I typically love this place. Their food is flavorful, stays hot all the way home, and not terribly priced. However, if this was my first impression of the place, I would not be returning. The sauce was good but the “meat” looked like it was the scraps put to the side for someone’s dog bowl. Idk if I’ll be back but it won’t be for a while. Food is expensive these days, so eating out is a treat, and for $15 I’d expect a decent, edible, cut of steak. Unfortunately, I had to waste 90% of the meat.

I was at first weary of sushi from a truck but this place is amazing! The snow crab roll was huge and super flavorful. The scallops were juicy and tasty. Highly recommend
