I tried to give it one more try but was disappointed. Oxtail was fatty and seems like it was just boiled. No brown gravy nor flavor. For the 26 bucks I paid I could of made my own.

Weβre sorry we did not meet your expectations Ty. Weβve taken your comments seriously and will strive to provide a better experienceStephanie Morris
I'm sorry but authentic Jamaican oxtail this is not. The oxtail was surrounded by fat. Very greasy and no wonderful brown gravy. The cabbage was very oily as was the fried plantains. Very disappointed π

So sorry you didnβt have a good experience Stephanie. Some days we donβt get it right for everyone . Hopefully we can try againTarra Williams
I really wanted to like these folks because they were so super nice and I give them 5+ stars for their customer service and friendly attitude. The food just didn't do it for me though. I had jerk chicken with rice and peas and garlic green beans; beef patty and coco bread. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked properly but didn't have any gravy. I've never had jerk chicken from a Jamaican restaurant without the gravy/sauce. The rice and peas were more like the style that comes in a box that you have at home. Not terrible, but just not restaurant level at all. Most disappointing of all, the beef patty wasn't freshly made. Much to my dismay I discovered that the patty I ordered came from a box (I saw the box in the back of the prep area as I waited for my order. Pic attached). I've bought the same ones before from Costco/Sam's Club. Again, not bad but didn't have the flaky crust as the ones that I am accustomed to having in a Jamaican restaurant. The coco bread was warm and fresh. The entrΓ©e portion was small compared to what I have received from other Jamaican restaurants. Again, I want to be kind because these folks did give the type of friendliness and customer service that is rare these days but I can't recommend the food.

Hi Tarra thanks for taking the time to leave us a review . Mooresville Food Truck Rally always humbles us as people wait patiently in long lines to buy our plates . Weβre sorry you didnβt have a stellar experience . We try our best which sometimes fall short when youβre working in 120 degree weather in a 8 ft space . We hope youβll give us another chance . Again because of space we canβt make every item we sell from scratch but we source a good product when we canβt and thatβs what we do with our patties. Take good care. Hope to see you again TarraAmaechi M
I ordered catering from MarlieQs for my Halloween Pajama Party and it was a hit. The ordering process was easy as I ordered everything online. The manager was so pleasant and called to confirm my order. All my guests enjoyed the food. The highlighted dish at my event was the shrimp curry tacos with coleslaw; the shrimps were perfectly marinated in a rich cream curry sauce. However, everything was delicious. Go with MarlieQs if you want to impress your guests and fill their tummies.

I absolutely enjoyed MarlieQs food! I ordered the oxtail plate + jerk plate with Mac and cheese, cabbage, plantain and rice + beans and everything was full of amazing flavor! I also loved the gravy from the oxtails and smoky flavor of the jerk chicken. I will definitely be ordering again.
