We waited over an hour for our food, and despite being directed to order online, staff continued taking in-person orders for other customers. The spice levels were also way off. We both ordered mild+ but found it extremely hot; I typically order medium at other Thai restaurants in the area without issue. The crab rangoons and spring rolls were delicious, though, and we’d consider returning once they’re better staffed.

This is the new food truck behind the York parking lot :) I had seen it open a few times before, but the menu text was kind of small, and I always felt awkward walking up because I thought they might expect me to order right away 😂 So I just stood there looking from a distance a few times before finally trying it today. The portions are huge and the food is really good! Also, with the weather this hot, I can only imagine how hot it must be inside the truck — seriously, respect to the people working there 🥵 One warning though: the spicy level is REALLY spicy 🌶️ I couldn’t finish it and had to go home and add extra rice and eggs just to survive lol I do think it would help if the menu text was a little bigger so people could comfortably stop and look at it while walking by! When I went today, there were actually quite a lot of people ordering already :)

Tam Sung serves up the most AUTHENTIC Thai food in Ann Arbor!! The flavors and dishes instantly transport you to the vibrant night markets of Thailand. A huge bonus: their sauces are both shellfish-free and gluten-free, making it a great option for a variety of dietary needs.

Excellent Thai food in Ann Arbor. Fresh and authentic ingredients, fast, hot, delicious. Mango sticky rice is far better than any other I’ve tried in Ann Arbor. Staff is friendly. It is a food truck outside of York (replaced the old Bao Boys truck). Take out style, lots of seating at York (indoors and outdoors) to enjoy your food.

authentic thai food in ann arbor! the flavor of the pad thai is SO good and it’s not overly sweet. i’m sure other menu items taste just as good. i’ll definitely be coming here often!
