We've come to this place since they opened. The food is great and the folks preparing the food + serving you are nice. Vice beer next door has a good vibe plus beer and cider. You can't go wrong with tacos and beer.

El Viejon is a quality Mexican food truck. Their ingredients are top-notch. They specialize in fish tacos but they have plenty of beef, pork and chicken as well. I've tried the carne asada, al pastor and quesabirria. They're all quality meat but a bit unseasoned for my palete. Fortunately they have three salsa choices: Verde, rojo and habanero. The truck is next door to Vice Beer and they have a relationship with them. You can sit inside the brewery. There's also a nice outside patio. El Viejón is one of the more expensive tacos in VanPort but to be fair, their tacos have twice the meat than other places that charge less. So it's a good value. I've tried their burrito. I like the tacos better. The truck is in a very industrial park with lots of businesses but there always seems to be spots to park. Back again. Ended up trying the El Gobernador. Pretty much shrimp tacos with fried shell, comes with cilantro, a chipotle aïoli and cheese. 10/10 The service is always amazing and I highly recommend it at lunch time!
