Ate at this halal truck twice on my recent trip to NYC. The guy running the truck is one of the nicest guys I've ever met! First night it was late so he had me come up in the truck to add my own hot sauce and encouraged my gf to take a picture. Went back again because the food was so good and the service deserved another trip! The hot sauce is hot though so be warned.

Was nearby for a 6-night stay and got food from Express Halal 4 times for late-night eats. Got the lamb, chicken, and falafel over rice. The food was so tasty and the service was, bar none, the friendliest I’ve ever received. You guys are awesome…thank you!

Express Halal Food Truck – NYC Visited during Christmas 2025 and was happy there wasn’t much waiting time. The kati roll was very good—fresh and flavorful, definitely the best item I tried. The chicken over rice was not bad either and a decent option. However, the falafel over rice was disappointing. It had uncooked chana dal, and the dish was overpowered with too much cumin and turmeric, which affected the overall taste and texture. Mixed experience overall. I’d recommend the kati roll and chicken over rice, but the falafel over rice needs improvement.

After a long journey from London the Express Halal Food was a welcome treat! We had the chicken over rice and a double cheeseburger. Really enjoyed it, good quality and larger portions. Definitely will be eating again!!
