I hate that this place is receiving such a bad rep because the food is excellent. However, today showed me exactly why the ratings are low. I waited over 1 hour for 4 tacos that I never received. I watched several people receive their orders ahead of mine who came after me. I questioned the cashier about it & he told me they have an expedited line, so regular priced orders get pushed back! I ordered food with ZERO modifications and paid with cash & you mean to tell me I have to wait an additional hour for my order because you all want to exploit your customers for extra money? Honestly, that is beyond unprofessional & tacky for business. I understand the hustle, but every customer should be prioritized by the time that they have waited, not by the number they have spend. We gotta do better as black people in business. I swiftly asked for a refund & I’m contemplating on returning my hard earned money there.

Waited in line from 12:30 when it was supposed to open at 1 , the food truck did not open until 1:30 they only took orders for the people that paid extra and only cooked food for the people that paid extra. Did not receive my food until 3am and I was second in line for the regular orders. The man taking the orders flirted with every man paying and was very rude. Save your time and your money and spend it elsewhere they don’t appreciate the customers with their poor customer service. I have never been as pissed off at them in my life .

They prioritize random people on the side door who give them $100+ to “skip the line” of customers who have been there before they open. The owner himself encouraged us to “spend more if we want to be first “. They open at 12:30, we were here at 12:25. They didn’t open until 12:50, with over 6 people in line. As mentioned they take side orders, and prioritize them over customers who waited for them to open, if you have an extra $100 to spend to skip the line - you can order from the side of the truck & not have to worry about getting there on time or being respectful to their working hours.

Oxtail Tacos are very good. I prefer Louisiana hot sauce and not the greasy oxtail soup. Lobster tacos were salty and not better than oxtail taco but a fair portion of meat for both tacos. $20 two tacos

I know this probably will get overlooked because K Michael feels his business is going to continue to do well anyway. 1) The service is horrible! He does not care about his customers. We pay all this money for horrible wait times, attitudes, inattentiveness, and rudeness. He literally does not even acknowledge us when we speak to him. We spend hundreds of dollars. He opens at 12:30. I order 1 order of 3 single tacos. Do you know I received my tacos at 1:45pm and he did not even acknowledge the fact that we waited so long. I spoke to K micheal, he didn’t even crack a smile or show any politeness. I come here all the time spend hundreds of dollar and I’m fed up that I had to write a review. It was the beginning of him opening, how do you already have an horrible attitude. We tip him 40$ to 50$ every single time and yet still was treated like complete trash. I think the popularity of the truck is getting to his head. He continues to show favoritism to certain customers, even though we all are spending large amounts of money on tacos. The oxtail tacos are always full of fat and we try to tell him every single time and he just ignores me and doesn’t even try to make the food correctly. I seen several people skip the line and receive their food even though they were after us which was a slap in the face. He gave us the wrong order of food a couple weeks ago and ended up running out of the the meat we wanted and failed to even accommodate us after waiting a hour. It was basically “ it is what it is attitude”. How are you going to try to refund us after waiting an hour & a half? The guy at the register is great but K Michael is truly the definition of horrible customer service. He truly doesn’t care about his customers and it shows more and more every time we visit. The food is great but We will not be back. This is what happens when you try to patronize a black business; they definitely live up to the horrible expectations that people already expect from black businesses . I have to emphasize again on how ill-mannered, dismissive and impolite K Micheal is which is very surprising however I’m pretty sure most would agree. The service was so bad that I couldn’t sleep well at night knowing how bad I was disrespected and dismissed. Hope he fixes this! God Bless
