Had the pastor burrito. Very good. Good size. More rice than I’d prefer but still good. The red salsa was flavorful and had an ok kick.

I'd passed Taqueria Cancun, a food truck on Krome' main road across from the laundromat, countless times. Since I rarely carry cash, I never stopped. But seeing they were open evenings, I finally decided to give it a try. Arriving early, I was lucky enough to be one of the first customers, meaning no line! Ordering was a breeze with an English menu displayed outside, and to my surprise, they accepted credit cards. Everything was cooked fresh to order, a huge plus in my book. I went for a barbacoa taco and an asada taco, getting two of each for around $14. The tacos arrived well-packed, complete with two types of sauces, cucumbers, a lime wedge, and napkins. As someone who's spent a lot of time in Mexico and Texas (the next best thing for Mexican food, in my opinion), I can confidently say this place is authentic. They definitely don't skimp on the meat; each taco was generously filled. The barbacoa was my absolute favorite – incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. If you're craving genuine Mexican tacos, the real deal, and not the fast-food variety, Taqueria Cancun won't disappoint.
