Coming from the Los Angeles / East LA area (and now living in Naperville), I had high hopes for the tacos after seeing all the positive reviews. The al pastor was decent, but the carne asada was disappointing. The meat lacked seasoning and had a decent amount of fat/grease to the point I was separating pieces onto another plate. I also personally felt the red and green salsas tasted store-bought rather than fresh homemade salsa. Service was friendly, but unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews for me.

If you want delicious food and tacos, you MUST be in the lookout for La Calaca! In terms of flavor: Delicious is an understatement 😋 Quality and presentation is above expectations. The owner is wonderful and one of a kind in the food industry. Yummm!

Mannnn, this taco was bomb. It was big, too. They weren't stingy. And the salsa! It was flavorful and hot. The women at the truck were also very nice. I'm on the North Side by the lake, so I'll probably never taste that taco again. But I had to say it was great.

La Calaca food truck came to my apartment complex in Naperville. It had been a while since i've had great tacos and didn't expect much when my husband suggested we go try some tacos. Their tacos were so good that almost a month later I still check my emails from our complex because I wait for the day they come back so I can get more tacos. I had the asada tacos(of course), & the salsas were soooo good. Both the green and the red were delicious! The meat was well seasoned as were the salsas. Great tacos, quick turnaround, worth the price. Ill have to try other items once they decide to make their way back to Naperville. Until then, ill be checking my emails!

We were fortunate enough to happen by this fabulous taco truck yesterday. After talking with the super nice owner, Veronica, she let us sample the various meats and we eventually ordered a big sack of tacos. We loved every one of them! The steak tacos were incredible, followed closely by the pulled beef tacos. While the lightly seasoned chicken tacos were amazing! The food was excellent, nothing fancy or overdone here, just simple, uncomplicated high quality tacos! We will definitely be back for more. Very highly recommended! Tom Feddor, Chicago, IL.
